Hiring an Attorney can be a little scary.
How do I find a lawyer, how do I know if they are the right lawyer for me, how much will it cost? These are all valid questions that I do not have the answers to give.
My guess is that unless a person has been faced with needing and hiring and attorney themselves that person probably isn’t going to be much help either.
From my own personal experience the answer came after I had discussions with several different attorneys.
I didn’t know anything about hiring an attorney, which seems odd for a bail bondsman, or at least that is what I would assume a person might think considering we are somewhere in the middle of an awful lot of situations where attorneys need to be hired. But the truth was that when I needed one I was just as lost as anybody else.
My situation was not criminal but still, I had to go to court (that’s scary, considering all of the life changing things that can happen in court). And hiring an attorney was just part of the ordeal.
In the end I think I did the right thing and found the right lawyer for me. I talked to several attorneys, I got lots of different answers and opinions and then I found myself in a genuine comfort zone when I finally spoke with an attorney that in my opinion wanted to represent me and wanted to fight for me.
So my suggestion would be when hiring an attorney (find your comfort zone) and my guess is you will be happy with your decision.
